The battle of Stalingrad took place in 1942 and 1943. It was fought between the Germans and Russians. It was a turning point in World War Two on the Eastern Front. It was the most important and the bloodiest battle of WWII.


On the twenty second of June, 1941 Germany launched Operation Barbarossa. This operation was supposed to take Russia out of the war. It was unsuccessful though.
